‘The Football Factory’ (2004) makes war without weapons

I almost never watch war movies or dramas, but watching the 2004 British movie The Football Factory was like watching a war movie without weapons.

The hooligan supporters clubs of the EPL are portrayed as men in gangs looking for fights. They snort white and brown stuff all the time. They live for the away game as a chance to invade an enemy’s territory and beat them in hand-to-hand combat.

I don’t know how much this movie reflects real life, but I could see how disaffected people like this could have participated in the 2011 riots across England. BTW, there is no soccer in this movie.
